Welcome to 2026?!?!?

Time is passing so fast! I started this blog in January, yet I am now frantically cranking it out at the end of February! What on earth happened to the last 60 days? Or even the last week? It’s a blur . . .

Time is racing by, which makes it all the more imperative that we help our kids move their lives forward. Life is hectically busy and those of us here at ComInTX could use some help to gain momentum, so please let us know if you feel led to join our efforts!

Please consider sharing in the vision by volunteering and participating in our events. In addition to our monthly parent support and prayer meetings, we will again be scheduling meetup opportunities and would love the opportunity to visit with you and your families! Our first event is the Destination . . . Life Regional Transition Fair and conference on Saturday, March 7, 2026. This event is packed with resources and information to help young adults transition to a life of independence! Details are here on our events page. Stop by our table for a visit!

(Just a special note here from Karen: I am having knee surgery at the end of February and may need a month or two off before planning social events, but keep an eye on our calendar and I will post an event when I can. Thanks for your patience!)

Like many of you, I do have young adults (three of them!) that would love to be more independent. We are encouraging them to achieve the skills, training, jobs, and financial comfort they need to live semi-independently and our fondest wish is to see them comfortably settled. I very much believe that if we pool our resources, we can make it happen for our kids and, we hope, so many others.

Please join us in prayer and action.

Blessings to you all in 2026!
